With project managers, naval architects, boat builders, engineers and sales and marketing professionals from around the world, we are a cohesive, multifaceted team who work towards a common goal: producing the world's best boats for the world's happiest customers.

  • Paul Hakes, CEO

    Paul leads all operations at HH Catamarans from concept to execution. From New Zealand, Paul has been a boat builder for his entire adult life, mostly building very high end customized racing yachts. This has included everything from Steve Fossett’s Paystation catamaran to small, carbon fiber catamarans to America’s Cup yachts. He joined forces with Hudson in 2012, and together they formed HH Catamarans (for Hudson & Hakes) with the goal to build the very best cruising catamaran available in the market today.

  • Seth Hynes

    Seth Hynes, President

    Seth is an experienced cruiser, known best for his popular YouTube channel (The Sailing Family). There he documented five years of full-time cruising on various catamarans, twice crossing the Pacific. Seth has built a career around the marketing and sale of Luxury Goods, which included partnering with Oracle Team USA in the America's Cup. When combined with an Oxford MBA, Seth brings a wealth of sailing knowledge, marketing strength and corporate governance, making him the ideal leader for HH Catamarans.

  • Jade Wang, VP of Sales

    After earning her masters degree in Ottowa, Jade began a career in sales and marketing involving global manufacturing in Asia and Europe. She joined HYG in 2013 and has helped to orchestrate the growth of the company as it's become a major force in international yacht building.

  • James Hakes, Naval Architect

    James has been involved in the marine industry his entire life. A keen sailor and with a Degree in Naval Architecture, James works in our Engineering office making sure the boats are built to Morelli Melvin standards and requirements and that the custom variations are correctly designed and built.

  • Chris Bailet, Sales / Service / Commissioning

    Chris has worked with HH since HH6601 launched in 2016. Chris has captained luxury performance cruising catamarans for 10+ years, and in addition to his on-water expertise, brings a wealth of project management and customer service skills to the program.

  • Yuchen Chen, Boat Building Director

    Yuchun joined Hudson Yacht Group in 2010 as the Gunboat 60 engineering manager. In 2012 he was promoted to production manager. Yuchun now manages production of the HH line.

  • Taka Wung, Engineering Manager

    Originally from Taiwan and educated in New Zealand, Taka applies over 10 years of marine engineering experience to lead our in-house engineering department. Taka is fluent in three languages and his skill set ranges from metal fabrication to fluid dynamics and everything in between.

  • Riccardo Marton, Mechanical Systems Engineer

    Riccardo joined the Hudson Yacht Group team in 2012 after a successful 12 year boat building stint in South Africa. Ricardo was the mechanical systems manager on the Gunboat 60 projects and now oversees all mechanical operations for the HH line.

  • James Juan, Project Manager

    Aka "JJ" cut his teeth in the boating industry working as an engineer for Jade Yachts. He gained further experience at Tayana Yachts where, as project manager he oversaw engineering and system design, and customer service before joining the HH Catamarans team in 2016.

  • Lauren Battaile, Marketing

    Lauren oversees marketing efforts in the US. She has been with HH since the launch of HH6601 in 2016. Her experience includes thirteen new boat commissionings, 25+ international boat shows, and seven Boat of the Year/Best Boat awards. In addition to marketing duties, she assists with new boat handovers, warranty and concierge services.
